There are many different lotions and potions available to maintain nice hair and skin these days that it is hard to pick the best one. If you take a trip into your local drugstore, you will end up greeted by row after row of shelves filled with various products, all promising to operate wonders and create miracles. I do think the only real way to find out which goods are good for you is usually to experiment and check on your own. Among my favourites that I am using for quite a while now’s argan oil.
Sometimes known as ‘liquid gold’, this is a natural product, extracted from the kernels from the argan tree that is indigenous to Morocco. It’s utilized as a moisturiser plus in products to care for hair. This is due to the reality that the oil features a high nutrient content and it is full of fatty acids, anti-oxidants and vitamin E that is vital for healthy hair and skin. It is usually renowned for making hair soft, silky and glossy and help to make frizzy hair more manageable. Other reported benefits of argan oil for hair are the promotion of healthful hair growth, prevention of scalp dryness and itching along with the restoration of dry and damaged hair. As a non-greasy, easily absorbed oil it is usually used as an epidermis moisturiser which could benefit dermititis specifically. It’s also noted for it’s anti-ageing properties and a lot of advocates of argan oil have stated how it aids their skin conditions including acne and eczema. I have used best oils for dry skin to assist in treating dermititis on my small elbows and knees plus it did wonders for me and left my skin beautifully soft and smooth without having irritation.
Because of it’s benefits, celebrities including Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Taylor Swift are common users of argan oil to help you care for their head of hair and skin. It’s even beginning to come in mascara formulas because it’s claimed it will help to make your lashes longer and more lustrous. My locks are very dry and it has a wiry texture (it almost is like fine fishing line) along with the oil in it’s pure form helps add moisture and softness to my hair. If you are lucky enough to have naturally soft hair, argan oil is a fairly finishing touch to add extra gloss and shine.
Although finding shampoos, conditioners, hair styling products and skincare products containing argan oil is straightforward, due to the oil’s rarity they are presented at the relatively high price. While i previously mentioned, the oil is taken from the argan tree which is found in southern Morocco. The original technique of extracting the oil would have been to collect argan fruit, dry it, extract the nuts, crack them to reveal the kernels then to crush the crooks to release their oil. The process ended by hand and took fifteen hours of labour and thirty two kilograms of fruit to create only one litre of oil! These days the kernels are mechanically cold pressed (heat damages the oil’s chemical properties). The tree is rare, extracting the oil is labour intensive… to ensure the high price. However, fortunately a little oil goes a considerable ways.
The scarcity with the argan tree is the place the issue lies. There are so many products on the market now that contain argan oil or are marketed as ‘argan oil’ or ‘Moroccan oil’. Though if you examine the label, there are often other ingredients (like silicon) in larger quantities than the actual argan oil. Cosmetic companies must work tirelessly to ensure the supply of argan oil is sustainable and of an exceptional, untainted by other oils or substances.
How do we know you will get genuine? Should you be buying a product containing argan oil – check the ingredients. Be aware of ‘argania spinosa kernel oil’, it needs to be up high all the ingredients list and ideally, the item should contain as few ingredients as you can. The harder ingredients which the oil is combined with, the less powerful the oil will be. If you are buying pure argan oil, help it become within a dark coloured bottle because light passing via a clear bottle can stop working the oil’s chemical properties. Some products which are marketed as argan oil also possess a carrier oil including olive or sunflower oil. Also be aware of the purchase price you’re paying. Argan oil doesn’t need to be very expensive but at the same time, it’s a rare oil that is labour intensive to produce and thus isn’t usually sold with a ‘giveaway’ price. The very best argan oil product simply the priciest but don’t forget the phrase, ‘you get what you pay for’.
