The cast of characters are settling set for their new situations. They think that nothing much should be happening to upset that world, yet, these are surprisingly wrong.
This tale of innuendo, gossip, lies, misdirection and intrigue finds authentically as being a comedy of errors and misinformation. The premise is straightforward enough and simply subtle enough to give a good base.
Ma Foster provides housing on her behalf “girls,” Bella, Chloe and Kitty. Typically the three in residence are missing. Ma produces a huge problem about this. She even would go to the area newspaper in the event the local police tend not to respond to her fears. Harold Mixon, the dog owner and editor emeritus in the local weekly newspaper, just recently put online is looking to possess a pleasant and quiet Labor Day weekend with his friends in the International Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.).
Another main characters are Gigi Carpenter, a feminist reporter turned editor in the local newspaper. Max (Maximo) Morgan a would-be gum shoe private detective having a penchant for old murder mysteries, especially Dashiel Hammet’s “Fat Man” tales. Then Deano DeBoffo because the “reality” show director looking to shot a pilot to get a new show. Finally, Shatner Lapp, as being a newsman, publisher, editor and all-round traditional boy, involves town to assistance with his Princeton buddy’s newspaper problems.
Once these people get involved with the gossip laden townsfolk, the misinformation flies. With additional rumors then your facts probably warrant, these missing girls be a little more plus more objects of speculation and intrigue while hardly any factual info is given. The rumors start off mild because the missing girls are just searched for by Ma and Maximo.
These rumors and gossip finally run up to a significant “reporter war” between Shat and Gigi. The misinformation here becomes the avalanche cascading in the news therefore the townspeople.
