SBI’s new norms relate to minimum balance requirement in savings accounts, amended service charges, new service tax rates, renewed locker fees, charges for availing new cheque books and more, in accordance with Zee News.
Most prominent among these changed rules matched to customers who hold savings accounts at metro, urban, semi-urban and rural branches. The bank has created mandatory upkeep of minimum balance over these accounts from April 1.

Under new rules, an SBI debit card holder is going to be allowed five free transactions at its ATMs. Besides, there will be a fee of Rs 20 to get a fourth transaction for debit card holders of other banks.
