A lot of love goes into the items of solid timber furniture created at Buywood, in the quality workmanship in our highly skilled craftsmen right through to your input as a client commissioning a made to order piece. Within this article we would have liked to offer some understanding of what differentiates the timber furniture made at Buywood off their furniture makers across Australia.
Good quality Solid Timber
At Buywood Furniture we use excellent, recycled solid timber from sustainable sources to generate unique, timeless furniture pieces. Once built, our timber pieces undergo a radical sanding and polishing process by skilled polishers. As each bit of furnishings are made to order at our Alderly workshop, any one our furniture designs can be made to order with all the excellent timber that you picked.
Made to order Furniture
Our specialty at Buywood is creating made to order pieces to accommodate the exact needs in our clients. Members of all of us enjoy meeting customers personally on the one-to-one basis to establish their requirements and make sure how the custom furniture they commission is a great fit for their home. Lee Kenny, owner of Buywood Furniture hand sketches all designs made by the Buywood team, and oversees each design from initial drawings to final polishing. If you’ve been associated with designing your item, you will be invited to Alderly workshop to evaluate its progress, and our experienced team will help you with installing the piece at your residence.
Four Generations Strong
Lee Kenny is often a 4th generation furniture maker who works across all the custom furniture developed by the Buywood team. He prides himself on the traditional way of furniture making, which slows down the production process and utilises traditional joinery strategies to create pieces that work for a lifetime. These days if the desolate man Australia’s manufacturing marketplace is uncertain, Buywood Furniture is proud to get been Australian made and Australian owned for four generations of craftsmen.
