The cast of characters are settling looking their new situations. They think that nothing much should be happening to upset that world, yet, they are surprisingly wrong.
This tale of innuendo, gossip, lies, misdirection and intrigue results in authentically like a comedy of errors and misinformation. The idea is simple enough and merely subtle enough to provide a good base.
Ma Foster provides housing for her “girls,” Bella, Chloe and Kitty. Typically the three in residence are missing. Ma constitutes a problem regarding it. She even visits the area newspaper if the local police don’t respond to her fears. She does fascinate the out-of-work detective, the brand new editor with the local newspaper and lastly the town itself.
The central character is Henrietta, who had been named following your town showcased, Henryetta, Oklahoma. Another main characters are Gigi Carpenter, a feminist reporter turned editor with the local newspaper. Max (Maximo) Morgan a would-be gum shoe private detective with a penchant for old murder mysteries, especially Dashiel Hammet’s “Fat Man” tales. Then Deano DeBoffo because “reality” show director trying to shot an airplane pilot to get a new show. Finally, Shatner Lapp, like a newsman, publisher, editor and all-round good old boy, comes to town to assist in his Princeton buddy’s newspaper problems.
Once they will become involved in the gossip laden townsfolk, the misinformation flies. With an increase of rumors then your facts probably warrant, these missing girls are more and more objects of speculation and intrigue while little or no factual information is given. The rumors start off mild because missing girls are just sought out by Ma and Maximo.
These rumors and gossip finally lead up to an important “reporter war” between Shat and Gigi. The misinformation here becomes the avalanche cascading over the news and therefore the townspeople.
