Create Art that Makes a change

“The creative arts are the measure and reflection individuals civilization. They provide many children the opportunity to see life with a larger perspective…The moral values we treasure are reflected inside the beauty and truth that’s emotionally transmitted over the arts. The arts say something about us to future generations.”
-Ann P. Kahn, Former President in the National PTA

Indifference. It does not take biggest problem we face as human beings. For decades, were told to ‘express yourself.’ Embracing our individuality, embracing our flaws, expressing whatever we sense, being ourselves with no pretension – it’s perfect. But have we taken it too far, concise that we’re too dedicated to ourselves as individuals that we have forgotten to worry?
This was supposed to be a moving discussion about art, however i feel rather than concentrating on art being an expression of one’s individuality, I will focus on how art could be a tool to connect individuals to people. How artists can go to town with a purpose.
The greater access to data we have, the harder means of link with others – the harder we become disconnected. But if you think about it, human beings still bond through appreciation of performance arts, visual arts and art in their newer forms.
You’ll find communities of people which appreciate the same film, Broadway musical, pop artists etc. I think experiencing this can be a great solution to the indifference and apathy most people has a tendency to feel towards other people.
Empowering Artists
In the world which allows you infinite channels of trying, we feel a lot more lonely. I really believe art could be a solution http://www.drawing-pencil-sketches.com/. Art being an expression could be a moving force, being a thought and emotion provoking tool. It won’t inform us how to handle it, but it can move us to consider, to behave and interact
You may say that art is really a a greater portion of a guilty pleasure nowadays. It can be. But it can even be a lot more than that as it can stimulate intellectual discussion. If you know the classic artwork of Elizabeth Sirani entitled ‘Portia wounding her thigh,’ you may also have heard regarding the debate it sparked among the art and intellectual communities in those days. Inside the painting, a beautiful woman is depicted holding a knife with a bloody wound to be with her thigh – thought provoking, interpreted differently, heatedly discussed being a woman doing that of a man can, dealing with precisely the same level of pain etc.
Although art is definitely an intense means of expressing individuality, it is not entirely limited to that. Art is usually thought as any creative work of a man knowning that creative work could be a response or response to something beautiful or even an idea, in a situation that’s personal you aren’t.
It seems like impossible to set art inside a box and define it, right. Doesn’t this ambiguity allow us define it ourselves and give it purpose?
Since art in their modern form went beyond paintings, sculptures or architecture into posters, pop culture, photography, computer-generated graphic arts, film, music, theater etc – it’s indeed diversified. With marketing thrown in to the mix, artists create art that’s targeting a specific audience or possibly designed with a purpose and it can be a little more than possessing that artwork.
Art that produces a positive change
Popular culture isn’t as widely known as art though it may be an imaginative expression. Obviously, Tv programs, movies, songs, comics, manga, web series etc are art. Pop culture is what art aimed to get, a way of life. The strength of pop art can’t be underestimated and it is continued emergence and evolution insistently break all walls of conformity of high-brow art.
As we take what exactly is thought as the skill and give it purpose, empower artists to create art that will inspire audiences to get more compassionate as well as emphasize the urgency of issues like war and the climate change – wouldn’t that be social relevance at its finest?
Yes, not every person may be artists, but all of us can appreciate we can relate with, right? This can be one reason why artists should take benefit of their platform to create art which i touch and persuade people everywhere. Isn’t this transformative experience what art is for?
