AUCTION AND ART FAIR Arranged SIMULTANEOUSLY Around

The Poly Macau Art Auction has held again until today at the Regency Art Hotel. The kinds include Chinese and Asian Contemporary and modern Art, Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Chinese Ceramics and Art pieces in addition to Jewels and Prestige Collections.


Masterpieces of Chinese modern art maestros will be displayed to represent the key developments of Chinese contemporary art history, including Wu Guangzhong’s “Snowscape in Beijing”, that’s estimated for sale at HKD14 million around HKD28 million.

Other pursuits for example Chinese ceramics and artworks, including those through the Ming and Qing Dynasties, bronzes, lacquers, Buddhism figures, and fine stationery will be up for auction.

A Cloisonne-Enamel Ram Vessel, Zun, estimated to be worth between HKD3.2 million to HKD4.5 million is also available for sale by interested collectors.
Here is the second Poly Macau Art Auction, following first auction organized a few months ago.

Sabrina Ho, director of Poly Macau and Stanley ho daughter and Angela Leong, declared case is co-organized by Poly Macau and Chiu Yeng Culture. “I hope a group of cultural events [organized through the two companies] may bring to Macau new aspects that will enable to keep the diversification from the economy,” said Ho, who also expects that artists and art collectors worldwide will continue to support Macau as an art platform.

“We will continue to bring Macau more diversified cultural activities, and [will support] Macau to construct itself as being a global art platform,” said Ho and “hopefully that Macau can become a well- known art capital later on.”

Regency Hotel opened in 1983 and has suffered with past business closures. Ho, however, hopes to transform it into an art hotel. “In Macau, there can be many resplendent big hotels, but the quantity of hotels which can be used for art or even some creational events is, the truth is, much less great,” said Ho.

Currently, Regency Hotel isn’t running any casinos, which, according to Ho, generates a different atmosphere in comparison with other hotels. She also thinks that guests staying in this hotel are more “private.”

The “6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair” will be held at the Regency Hotel until November 27. You use 60 exhibition halls will be arranged to produce artworks from 60 artists born after 1975.

Ho claims that just a number of hotels are prepared to provide young people rooms also to invite young people to create the rooms on their behalf.
