The 2 main Wheel Self Balancing Electric Scooter

Together with the launch of the newest 2 wheel self balancing electric scooter, 2015 has become a fantastic year for gadget fans. Worldwide, people are taking to YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to write pics and vids of themselves zipping around on this 2 wheel contraption which basically seems like a board using a wheel on both sides.


A mixture of a skateboard and a segway, this mini Segway (with no handle) type thing is blowing up in popularity, fuelled simply by the quantity of celebrities which were seen on a single. From Justin Bieber to Soulja Boy, Kendall Jenner to Jamie Foxx, all have tried their hand only at that nifty little gadget, and appear to have a lots of fun doing so.

Nicknamed the ‘swegway’ (as a result of it’s likeness to the Segway, however a ‘cooler’ version) we are really not sure entirely where this particular smart electric scooter comes from or who invented the first. Probably it comes from some factory in China. The very first glimpses we were treated to of computer on television were something referred to as IO Hawk, a scooter that will set you back an impressive $1800. This was in January of 2015. Since then many cheaper versions the exact same product came available on the market and the average price at the moment is apparently around $500.

How can it work? Basically you get up on the two panels and shift one’s body weight slightly forward or slightly back plus it senses this bodyweight change and moves backwards or forwards. This may also turn left or right. This smart electric scooter is turning out to be so well received that it is being touted because the personal mobility device of the future. Who wishes to walk when you are able glide, right? Plus it is a lot quicker than walking, travelling at speeds of 6mph to 10mph.
