A fresh 2016 Xmas rock-POP track has been written, created and then recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main aim of getting attention and exposure for the Phuket charity and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket site .

The tunes title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs genre is a special up-tempo rock n roll song. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo guide since then awaiting the chance to record once again. In August 2016 Mark began the studio recording process and used session players to studio record the track durring a 6 week period. The songs contains 8 differant tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the lead artist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was made in the United States due to Mark needed the most effective result and quality. The music ready to be listened to and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The main aim of studio recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day website as possible and then hopefully in-turn they’ll be good enough to give to one or all of the Phuket charities, and to also buy the track.
The other primary goal is to be able enough downloads of the song to help fund and setup a Phuket live music bar with open stage and recording studio / teaching room on Phuket, that’ll offer free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged children from the neighborhood schools and children’s orphanages. To date ‘La QingTing’ isn’t currently open yet but the website is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day website to promote his track Tsunami Day that was inspired from his own personal experiences while he was living in Patong back in 2004 when the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. As with ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site there’s numerous methods to simply help including a Phuket island Villa and budget flights to Thailand booking system. Every penny helps.
Credits: Mark would like to credit his sponsors: Michael Dietvorst (CEO of Oriental Living), Stuart Baker (GM of Food Hygiene Asia), Alan Cooke ( MBE ), Adam Goodman (GM of Two Chefs Restaurants) and Cassius Rolfe-Johnson (CEO of Phuket Home Services).
